A hybrid model of homogenization of the engineering elastic moduli of anisotropic composites with non-spherical inclusions was developed. In contrast to the known models, instead of the tensors of localization of averaged strains Hill's, coefficients of localization of total strains were considered. In the hybrid model, the elastic properties of an anisotropic composite were calculated through the elastic properties of an isotropic composite with spherical inclusions. To calculate the elastic properties of an isotropic composite, a model of elastic deformation of a porous material was used. The hybrid model contains an empirical fitting parameter: the limiting content of isolated inclusions. This allows the identification of the model by one experimental point, and then adequately describe the elastic properties of a composite of arbitrary composition. The proposed model is more accurate than the well-known models of Mori-Tanaka, Lielens, Halpin-Tsai and Chamis.
