Metal-organic frameworks have remarkable advantages of high specific surface area, tunable pore structure, species diversity and superior stability causing it be a good adsorbent for methylene blue removal. Here, UiO-66 as prepared by two-step simple method at room temperature, then the effects of water on morphology, crystallinity and adsorption properties of UiO-66 were studied. UiO-66 exhibits good adsorption performance of MB with maximum adsorption amount of 543.48 mg g(-1) and good cycling stability.
