The multiple nuclear radiation shielding properties for glass system with composition of xPbO-(99-x)B2O3-1Sm(2)O(3) (20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80 mol%) were studied. For that purpose, a 3 x 3 inch sodium iodide NaI(Tl) detector was designed in order to detect the photons using MCNPX simulation code. Half value layer, energy absorption buildup factor, proton mass stopping power and proton projected range were estimated in a large energy scale 0.015-15 MeV. In addition, the neutron radiation shielding parameters was computed. The outcomes drom the present investigation showed that the PbO contribution improve the radiation shielding properties of glass samples, where mu(m) and effective atomic number (Z(eff)) values increase when the chemical composition of lead oxide increase while HVL, EABF MSP and PPR values decrease.
