In this article, the extended simple equation method is employed to construct solitary wave solutions of Boussineq equation, which describes gravity waves propagation on the surface of water and also explains the collision of oblique waves transformation. The extended simple equation method is a new technique which helpful to other sorts of nonlinear evolution equations in current areas of research in mathematics and physics. (C) 2018 The Authors.
