Analyses of the orientations of dynamically recrystallized (DRXed) grains nucleated at double twins in Mg-4Zn-1Sn alloy show that the DRXed grains are mostly rotated along (10-10) and (11-20) axes with respect to the parent grains and host double twins. Depending on the type of rotation axes, these DRXed grains show one or both of the following major types of orientations; 1) one that is rotated along the common axes from both the parent grains and host double twins and 2) another that is rotated to an angle showing a local minimum-energy with respect to the parent grains.
