Lithium sulfide (Li2S)-based rechargeable battery has aroused much interest in the last few years because of its enhanced safety stemming from eliminating lithium metal anode and its high energy density. Here, we demonstrated a new-designed Li2S-based full cell with high energy density composed of the freestanding Li2S-rGO cathode and MnO2-rGO anode. Li2S-rGO cathode and rGO-MnO2 anode exhibit a high capacity even based on the whole electrode, 367.5mAh g(Li2S) (-1)(electrode) and 644.1 mAh g(MnO2) (-1)(electrode), respectively, which are benefitted from their free-standing nature and unique morphology of active material wrapped by rGO sheets. When incorporating Li2S-rGO cathode and MnO2-rGO anode, Li2S/MnO2 full cell can achieve a high capacity of 587.5 mAh g(Li2S)(-1) and a high energy density of 827.3 Wh kg(Li2S)(-1) at 0.2 C.
