The corrosion behavior of the superalloy Inconel 740H was studied at 725 degrees C, 750 degrees C and 780 degrees C for 5000 h in the simulated synthetic coal-fired. The results showed that the microstructure of Inconel 740H was stable in the long-term aging process. The hot corrosion of superalloy was slight in the first corrosion process before 2000 h, and then became severe in the second corrosion process. The degree of inhomogeneous corrosion was evaluated by the method of moment estimation. The corrosion of Inconel 740H at 750 degrees C was more severe than that at 725 degrees C and 780 degrees C, but all could satisfy the requirement of corrosion resistance.
