The ethanol production from molasses was identified, considering various socioeconomic and environmental indicators in Pakistan. The environment, economic and social aspects were recognized and enumerated to the bioethanol production for sustainability development of the society. The indicators predicated on the basic of advantages to the communities such as implementation, thoughtful, clear, pre-emptive and extrapolative. The values of individual indicators were discussed and their applications for the context of ethanol production and necessities. Key socioeconomic effects of supply chain for bioethanol production system including feedstock (sugarcane) availability, transformation and blending of ethanol with gasoline have been analyzed in Pakistan's perspectives. Collectively by means of indigenously preferred environmental and social issues, it was concluded that bioethanol is better option for sustainable development and Pakistan is able to produce ethanol from sugarcane industry by-product (molasses) and to date, distilleries working in Pakistan have ability to blend gasoline with 5% ethanol and this production can be increased just by installing new distilleries since molasses are available in huge quantity.
