We present a LiFePO4/graphene composite prepared via a solid-state synthesis where electrochemically fabricated few-layer graphene was used as one of the precursors. Thin few-layer graphene flakes decorated with LiFePO4 submicron-sized particles were obtained, and the corresponding characterization was performed using electrochemical methods, XRD, and SEM. The electrochemical performance of the electrode material enhanced with the few-layer graphene as additive was compared to a reference sample with conventional Super P carbon used.
