A facile and eco-friendly route to prepare pure Pr2Ce2O7 nanostructures with very desirable performance in hydrogen storage has been developed utilizing a novel and efficient fuel, banana extract, at mild condition. For the first time, by altering effective factor, calcination temperature, the different morphologies of Pr2Ce2O7 were formed utilizing banana extract. For the first time, the prepared Pr2Ce2O7 with use of banana extract were evaluated for their hydrogen storage efficiency with chronopotentiometry method. After 20 cycles, its discharging capacity can reach to 2611 mAh/g. The prepared Pr2Ce2O7 with use of banana extract illustrates proper efficiency for hydrogen storage at room temperature.
