We propose a smart technique for directly evaluating complex conductivity in a circularly polarized field with no polarimeter by time-domain reflection spectroscopy using a terahertz (THz) phase shifter and a polarized beam splitter. We performed THz time-domain spectroscopy on a doped InSb wafer under a magnetic field with a delta-phase shifter based on parallel metal waveguides. Despite the pi/2 phase shifter with low accuracy, we obtained the conductivity spectrum shifted by cyclotron frequency while maintaining a Drude-like spectral shape. This technique paves the way for new magneto-optical spectroscopy methods. (C) 2016 The Japan Society of Applied Physics
