In this work, a circularly polarized (CP) antenna array with low radar cross section property based on CP metasurface-inspired antenna units is proposed. The polarization conversion metasurface is utilized as the radiator of the antenna. The in-band and out-of-band scattering of the antenna array under normal incidence is reduced by the chessboard configuration of the antenna units. Meanwhile, good radiation characteristics are realized by utilizing the sequentially rotated feeding network. The antenna prototype is fabricated and measured. The measured results show good agreement with simulated results.
