In this letter, we investigate the application of antieigenvalues to spectrum sensing for the first time and design an antieigenvalue-based detector. A theoretical expression for the decision threshold of the proposed detector is also derived. It is shown that the mean-to-square extreme eigenvalue detector is a special case of the proposed one. Numerical simulations validate the theoretical analysis, and demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed detector.
