MoS2/CdS/TiO2 nanocomposites embedded on carbon nanofibers were synthesized via electrospinning method followed by calcination under an inert atmosphere. The photocatalytic property of the as-synthesized nano composite was evaluated for the removal of methylene blue (MB). The obtained results showed that the photocatalytic efficiency and stability of the composite nanostructures were highly enhanced as compared to the pristine TiO2 nanofibers. This work demonstrates the effective absorption capacity of carbon nanofiber along with the synergistic effect of MoS2 and CdS in which it proves to be a good choice for improving the utilization of visible light activity of TiO2-based materials.
