Micro/nanomotors (MNMs) are emerging machinery by virtue of their tempting applications in noninvasive microsurgery, environmental remediation, and advanced nanomanufacturing. Notably, the light-powered MNMs generate propulsion thrust by absorbing photons and potentially respond differently to different energy photons, which enable their feasibility of remote signaling, independent addressing, and multi-channel controllability. In this study, an inorganic nanomotor based on solution-processed cation exchanged core-shell alloy nanowire is demonstrated with continuous tunability in the visible spectrum. The spectrum response of nanomotor can be selectively tailored through nanomotor composition, which provides a simple platform for future multi-channel navigated MNMs system and moves a step toward massive production of MNMs with advanced functionalities.
