In this investigation, we synthesized deep eutectic solvents (DESs) based on methyltriphenyl phosphonium bromide/tetra ethylene glycol (MTPPBr/TetEG) in different molar ratios ranging 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, and 1:6 and characterized by FTIR. The densities and viscosities were also measured at different temperatures. Dibenzothiophene (DBT) was extracted using the synthesized DES. Results concluded that at a single stage extraction, a 45% reduction of DBT sulfur compounds from model oil was found even at low-temperature 20 degrees C.
