Metamaterial based one dimensional photonic grating is thoroughly investigated in this research to realize an anti reflection element pertaining to solar wavelength which can be incorporated with solar cell in lieu of existing antireflection material. To envisage the same, we manipulated with plane wave expansion technique to affirm the negligible reflection of the said grating structure. Furthermore, the simulation outcomes confirm that the proposed nanoscale device reflects a maximum of 10(-13) % of solar energy at visible signals which could be an apt candidate for antireflection coating.
