In this paper, the platelike K0.8Fe0.8Ti1.2O4 particle with layered structure was synthesized in the hydrothermal system of TiO2, Fe(NO3)(3) and KOH at 250 degrees C. The hydrothermal temperature and the KOH concentration are crucial in the formation of K0.8Fe0.8Ti1.2O4 phase. The platelike K0.8Fe0.8Ti1.2O4 particle had the size of similar to 3 mu m in width and 50 nm in thickness. Meanwhile, the electrochemical performance of K0.8Fe0.8Ti1.2O4 as lithium ion battery anode materials was investigated for the first time. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
