The soluble asymmetric phthalocyanine (Pc) (ZnPc-OH) was synthesized and used as a photosensitizer to degrade water pollutants. The catalytic ability of zinc Pc was proved by degrading Rhodamine B. In addition, ZnPc-OH, which has good solubility, can be used in photodynamic therapy. [GRAPHICS] .
