A hydrothermal synthesis route was used to prepare titania particles and films. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) powder was collected by centrifugation of the obtained precipitation. It was thoroughly cleaned thrice in distilled water and methanol. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to study the structural properties of samples. The morphological, optical and electrical features of samples were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Ultraviolet visible (UV-vis.) spectroscopy, and I-V measurement. XRD results revealed the amorphous structure of TiO2 for films as well as powder samples. SEM illustrated the aggregation of titania particles. UV-visible corroborates the energy band 3.04 eV for titania powder and 3.23 eV for TiO2 films.
