A 1 MV Accelerator Mass Spectrometer (AMS) has been installed at Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, India which is tuned for measurement of C-14, Be-10 and Al-26 and is fully operational. The facility is acronymed as PRL-AURiS (PRL-Accelerator Unit for Radioisotope Studies). Measurements on various reference materials, have demonstrated its ability to achieve precision for C-14, Be-10 and Al-26 to 2.2, 4.8 and 5.3 parts per thousand levels, with background values of 3.9 x 10(-16), 5.8 x 10(-16) and 1.6 x 10(-14) respectively.
