The Li4Ti3O12/graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) composite was fabricated via a solvothermal method followed by heating treatment at 700 degrees C for 5 h. In this method, g-C3N4 acted as a support to enhance the electronic conductivity of Li4Ti3O12 . When tested as anode materials for lithium ion batteries, the assynthesized Li4Ti3O12/g-C3N4 composite displays a reversible capacity of as high as 150.8 mAh/g with a capacity retention of 86.8% at 0.5 C after 502 cycles. The cycling performance of the composite is enhanced, which could be attributed to the existence of g-C3N4 support. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
