In this paper, we tailor metamaterial composed of a pair of asymmetric D-shaped spiltring resonators (SRR) and cut wire to achieve a classical analog of electromagnetically induced transparency. The D-shaped SRR shows 'bright mode' and 'dark mode' in different resonance frequencies, which has obtained dual-band EIT-like. In the analysis, the surface current and radiated power of multipoles reveal that narrow transparency mainly cause by the excitation of electric dipole-quadrupole coupling. Measurement results obtained from a microwave experiment that are coincide well with the simulation results. It may have potential applications in civilian and military products.
