We demonstrate a Q-switched laser at 1.34 mu m by using a homemade MoS2 saturable absorber and a Nd:YVO4 composite crystal for the first time. The saturable absorber is prepared by Langmuir-Blodgett deposition technique. The pulse duration of 140 ns and the peak power of 23.8 W can be obtained, which are improved in comparison with those obtained in the other Q-switched lasers at 1.3 mu m with 2D-material saturable absorbers. The results experimentally reveal the promising application of MoS2 in Q-switched lasers at 1.3 mu m.
