The paper is related to an important topic of human exposure to power frequency electric fields in the vicinity of overhead power lines. Assessment of human exposure can be based on measurements and/or calculations, while the combination of these two methods provides the most reliable results. Both measurement and calculation results have their respective uncertainties, which should be calculated as accurately as possible. Regarding calculations, both the uncertainty of calculation model and uncertainty of the input data influence the total calculation uncertainty. Power line voltage significantly influences the levels of electric field in its vicinity. Therefore, in this paper, the influence of voltage measurement error on electric field calculation results is analyzed. This error originates from ratio error of voltage measuring transformers. The influence of ratio error of measuring transformers on electric field calculation results is quantified for typical overhead power line voltage levels and geometries pertaining to transmission systems.
