ACHEMA 2018: Membranes and Membrane Separation

Numerous companies working in membrane development, membrane production, and membrane separation plant engineering were present at ACHEMA 2018. In the field of application, membrane properties, and combination of different separation processes, a steady development takes place. An overview of current trends and (new) developments, including for example new polymer membranes for gas separation, new geometric structures to increase the surface area of ceramic membranes, and surface modification by, e.g., hydrophobization of membranes, is given.
