The pyroelectric properties of bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3) ceramics has been investigated over temperatures between 25 degrees C and 180 degrees C. AC impedance spectra have been measured over a wide frequency range from 2 mHz to 100 kHz. The results have been analyzed with respect to permittivity, conductivity, impedance and electric modulus. Based on an equivalent circuit model the bulk resistance R-bulk has been obtained from extrapolation of their Cole-Cole plots. It has been found that R-bulk decreases rapidly with increasing temperature. Origins of the observed results were discussed.
