Two-dimensional materials have become one of the hottest topics in physics, chemistry, and materials science during the past decade owing to their outstanding physical and chemical properties. To further expand their potential applications, more research efforts are needed to improve their performance and overcome their weaknesses. This review focus on the mechanisms, effects, influencing factors, and characterization of noncovalent molecular doping of two-dimensional materials.
