Background: There is little research on the use of simulation in Chinese nursing education. This research was focused on the effects of using simulation in promoting a range of outcomes among Chinese nursing students in a baccalaureate nursing program in China. Method: In this descriptive study of 50 sophomore students, three instruments were translated and evaluated to determine the identified outcomes. Results: The students were satisfied with the simulation, and their confidence level was increased after participating in the simulation activity. Best practices were thought to be embedded in the simulation. Conclusion: This study showed that simulation is an effective teaching strategy for Chinese nursing students.
