By the combination of divergent and convergent approaches, through a powerful click chemistry reaction, a new series of dendrimers (G1-NS-TB to G3-NS-TB) were conveniently prepared with satisfactory yields, in which two types of chromophores with a regular AB structure were used to further improve their comprehensive performance. Due to the presence of an isolation chromophore, its perfect 3D structure and the isolation effect of the interior triazole rings, G3-NS-TB exhibited a very large NLO coefficient with a d(33) value as high as 247 pm V-1 and d(33(infinity)) value of 60 pm V-1.
