A bioinspired bead-on-string silkworm silk (BBS) is fabricated using a polymer combinedwith silkwormsilk. Thus, BBS effectively modulates capillary adhesion for better water-capturing abilities, in addition to mechanical properties, compared to the initial silkworm silk. This study is significant to the design of functional materials for alternative applications.
