Bulk VO2 (B) nanobelts with high quality have been fabricated via a simple one-step hydrothermal route and found to possess intrinsic peroxidase-like activity. The catalysts with excellent affinity to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) could be used for the colorimetric assay of H2O2 and glucose.
