The effect of sonification time on removal efficiency of Ni2+ and Co2+ from wastewater in the presence of zero valence iron (ZVI) nanoparticles is described. The results showed that the presence of cobalt ions in the solution enhances the removal efficieny of nickel by ZVI nanoparticles to about 64% which is one of the advantages of this protocol.
