New monosubstituted pentakisthiacalix[4]arenes in three different configurations (cone, partial cone and 1,3-alternate) were synthesized and their structure and composition were characterized by a number of physical methods including H-1, C-13, IR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The spatial structure was confirmed by two-dimensional H-1-H-1 NMR spectroscopy. It was shown that nano-sized aggregates with silver cation were formed only in the case of multicalixarene with a cone configuration of the central core.
