This paper shows the results of forming simulations of multi-layer pre-consolidated 8H satin weave PPS laminates on a wing stiffener geometry. The results are validated against forming experiments, performed at Stork Fokker AESP, the Netherlands. A shell type FE formulation is used to include realistic bending behaviour of the laminate. The intra-ply properties of the laminate are measured with bias extension experiments. The frictional properties, for both tool-ply and ply-ply friction, were measured using a newly developed setup and included in the simulations.
