Age related macular degeneration usually affects the macular region, but there is a rare peripheral counterpart known as peripheral exudative hermorrhagic chorioretinopathy (PEHCR). We employed ultra wide field imaging techniques to follow four patients with PEHCR. Accurate photographic documentation may be helpful in monitoring growth in order to distinguish PEHCR from potentially treatable or life-threatening lesions such as choroidal metastatic tumors or primary choroidal melanoma.
