In this report, supramolecular ionic liquid supported on three-dimensional nitrogen-doped graphene-based frameworks with folate (SIL-g-3D-(N) GFs-folate) was successfully synthesized and characterized. The good dispersion of SIL-g-3D-(N) GFs in water and also the high affinity for nucleic acid and negatively charged cell membranes probably makes it an ideal candidate for biological purposes.
