The nanogold-modified hemin aptamer and HAuCl4-citrate particle reactions can be monitored by the resonance Rayleigh scattering (RRS) technique. Combining the two reactions, a new and highly sensitive nanocatalytic RRS method was developed to detect 0.2 nmol L-1 hemin.
