A highly regioselective sp(3) C-H amination of aryl amides with N-substituted pyrrolidin-2-ones has been developed with a catalyst Fe(II) complex with TBHP as a benign oxidant. This facile method can offer rapid access to the amination reaction of N-substituted pyrrolidin-2-ones in moderate to excellent yields.
