We report a novel high transmittance inorganic thin film color filter for thin film transistor liquid crystal display. Compare with the organic photo resistance coating color filter, this inorganic thin film color filter shows a better color saturation of 29 nm full width at half maximum that is only 1/5 of organic photo resistance coating color filter obtained, and can increase optical transmittance from 30% to 50%. The red, green and blue color filters have been achieved by a three layers inorganic thin film (Ag/SiO(2)/Ag).
