MoO3@C nanofibers have been successfully synthesized by electrospinning the Mo precursor with polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), followed by annealing. When tested as an anode material, the as- synthesized MoO3@C nanofibers could deliver a high discharge capacity of 623 mA h g(-1) after 100 cycles at 500 mA g(-1), and 502 mA h g(-1) even at 1000 mA g(-1).
