A glass carbon electrode was modified by the nickel form of an aluminum-rich beta-SDS zeolite synthesized from an organo-template-free and seed-directed route. Catalytic tests in the electro-oxidation of methanol show that this modified electrode exhibits improved catalytic activity, compared with the electrode modified conventional nickel form of beta zeolite.
