Nanomaterial-amplified chemiluminescence (CL) has become a growing area of interest in recent years. We review the development of nanomaterial-amplified CL systems and their applications in bioassays. We mainly focus on nanoparticles (gold, platinum, silver, bimetallic, semiconductor and magnetic).
