Two new compounds, emervaridione and varioxiranediol, together with the three known compounds, stellatic acid, ergosterol and dihydroterrein, were isolated from the endophytic fungus. Emericella vanecolor. The structures of emervaridione and varioxiranediol were established from spectroscopic and X-ray crystallographic analysis. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
