Two novel sesquiterpenoid dinners, multistalides A and B (1-2), were isolated from the whole plant of Chloranthus multistachys. Their structures were established on the basis of spectroscopic analysis, and the absolute configuration of 1-2 was determined by CD exciton chirality method. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd.
