A new class of well-defined NHC-Pd(II)-Im complexes was synthesized and was found to be an efficient catalyst for the amination reactions of aryl chlorides. Under the optimal reaction conditions, a range of amines can be coupled to give the amination products in good to high yields. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
