In this work, we described the synthesis of new tetrasubstituted thiophenes and selenophenes achieved by an easy one-pot four-step procedure. Expected Compounds were obtained in good yield from ketene dithioacetals. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
