Palladium-catalyzed alkoxycarbonylation of aryl iodides with a thiourea-oxazoline type ligand has been achieved under mild conditions. Various functional groups were tolerated and the yields were from moderate to excellent. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
