Electrical resistivity, thermopower and thermal conductivity were measured simultaneously for tau-(EDO-S,S-DMEDT-TTF)(2)(AuBr2)(1+y), (y <= 0.875) and (TMTSF)(2)PF6, respectively. The thermoelectric figure of merit Z of the materials is determined by combining these transport coefficients. It was found that the dimensionless figure of merit ZZT of tau-(EDO-SS-DMEDT-TTF)(2)(AuBr2)(1+y) (y <= 0.875) amounts to 0.042 at 130 K. This relatively large ZT is due to large thermopower and small thermal conductivity measured by an improved method as compared with that previously reported by the present authors.
