Catalytic amounts of phosphoric acid diesters enabled highly efficient intramolecular hydroaminations of nonactivated alkenes. With an enantiomerically enriched Bronsted acid catalyst an unprecedented metal-free asymmetric hydroamination of a nonactivated alkene was accomplished.
